Renata wanted something comfortable and very “her” for the morning church ceremony. The modified halter is ideal for Renata’s frame, and we went with a drop-waist and sheath silhouette which is something not many local brides would go for. Renata and her mummy were very hands on in the selection process and they went shopping for the laces together – so cute! They brought to me a dainty lace with pearls and glass beads, it was beautiful!
Love it when we get to combine different elements of cultures and reflect them on the outfits we create! Renata is of Indian heritage and her husband is a Chinese Baba. They went with an Indian theme for the night reception (imagine lots and lots of dancing and music). We toyed with the idea of swapping traditional clothes; a Kebaya for Renata and her husband in a Kurta. I suggested going with a modern cut kebaya top and a more conventional sarong batik. They had such a good time dancing the night off!
