That mixed feeling of pride and pressure when your childhood friend asks you to create something for her wedding. I can’t thank Magdalene enough for trusting me in my earlier days without any concrete portfolio to show! I wanted to create a Cheong Sam that was very “Magdalene”, and I knew she has something for colors and detailing.

Not wanting to overwhelm her with heavy embellishments, I wanted to bring out the “Mag” in her with colors! I used a turquoise silk satin as base and tones of hot pinks and teals as patch laces with bead works for her second change Cheong Sam. It was truly a memorable moment for me to see her dancing away in the ballroom in my creation!
